My name is Sarah Rose and I grew up in the mountains of North Carolina, where I attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I started out as a music major, but switched to Psychology, and graduated with a BA in Psychology and minor in flute performance. At Carolina I met my future husband, Patrick, who is from Dallas, Texas. After college I followed Pat to Dallas and started teaching through the Dallas AC program in 2002. This will be my 19th year teaching. I have taught between 4th and 6th grade, teaching mathematics in all but one of those years. This will be my 8th year teaching math at Sanger. I have two daughters: Ella is a 7th grader at Travis TAG Academy and Emory is a 3rd grader here at Sanger. In my spare time I like to exercise. I got a spin bike during the quarantine and have been spinning on the Peloton app. I also have made way more bread than my family can eat. I to see what this year holds.
